كَانُواْ لاَ يَتَنَاهَوْنَ عَن مُّنكَرٍ فَعَلُوهُ لَبِئْسَ مَا كَانُواْ يَفْعَلُونَ
Transliteration Kanoo la yatanahawna AAan munkarin faAAaloohu labisa ma kanoo yafAAaloona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Nor did they (usually) forbid one another the iniquities which they committed: evil indeed were the deeds which they did.
Mufti Taqi Usmani They did not forbid each other from any evil they committed. Evil indeed is what they have been doing.
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall They restrained not one another from the wickedness they did. Verily evil was that they used to do!
Sahih International They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing.
French Ils ne s'interdisaient pas les uns aux autres ce qu'ils faisaient de blâmable. Comme est mauvais, certes, ce qu'ils faisaient!
Japanese かれらはその行った悪事を，互いに戒めなかった。かれらの行ったことの何と醜悪なことよ。
Russian Они не удерживали друг друга от предосудительных поступков, которые они совершали. Как же скверно было то, что они делали!
Portugese Não se reprovavam mutuamente pelo ilícito que cometiam. E que detestável é o que cometiam!
German Sie hinderten einander nicht an den Missetaten, die sie begingen. Übel wahrlich war das, was sie zu tun pflegten.
