فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُ نَفْسُهُ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ
Transliteration FatawwaAAat lahu nafsuhu qatla akheehi faqatalahu faasbaha mina alkhasireena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.
Mufti Taqi Usmani His self, however, prompted him to kill his brother, so he killed him and became one of the losers.
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall But (the other's) mind imposed on him the killing of his brother, so he slew him and became one of the losers.
Sahih International And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.
French Son âme l'incita à tuer son frère. Il le tua donc et devint ainsi du nombre des perdants.
Japanese しかしかれの（利己的な）心は，その弟を殺すのを望ましいこととし，遂にかれを殺害（人類最古の殺人者と）して，失敗者の1人となった。
Russian Душа подтолкнула его на убийство своего брата, и он убил его и оказался одним из потерпевших убыток.
Portugese E o egoísmo (do outro) induziu-o a assassinar o irmão; assassinou-o e contou-se entre os desventurados.
