وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ ابْنَيْ آدَمَ بِالْحَقِّ إِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَانًا فَتُقُبِّلَ مِن أَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الآخَرِ قَالَ لَأَقْتُلَنَّكَ قَالَ إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقِينَ
Transliteration Waotlu AAalayhim nabaa ibnay adama bialhaqqi ith qarraba qurbanan fatuqubbila min ahadihima walam yutaqabbal mina alakhari qala laaqtulannaka qala innama yataqabbalu Allahu mina almuttaqeena
Abdullah Yusuf Ali Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah.: It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: "Be sure I will slay thee." "Surely," said the former, "(Allah) doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous.
Mufti Taqi Usmani And recite to them the story of the two sons of ‘Adam rightly: When both of them offered a sacrifice, it was accepted from one of them, and was not accepted from the other. He said, .I will kill you.. He said, .Allah accepts only from the God-fearing.
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall But recite unto them with truth the tale of the two sons of Adam, how they offered each a sacrifice, and it was accepted from the one of them and it was not accepted from the other. (The one) said: I will surely kill thee. (The other) answered: Allah accepteth only from those who ward off (evil).
Sahih International And recite to them the story of Adam's two sons, in truth, when they both offered a sacrifice [to Allah], and it was accepted from one of them but was not accepted from the other. Said [the latter], "I will surely kill you." Said [the former], "Indeed, Allah only accepts from the righteous [who fear Him].
French Et raconte-leur en toute vérité l'histoire des deux fils d'Adam. Les deux offrirent des sacrifices; celui de l'un fut accepté et celui de l'autre ne le fut pas. Celui-ci dit: "Je te tuerai sûrement". "Allah n'accepte, dit l'autre, que de la part des pieux".
Japanese (ムハンマドよ)アーダムの2児の物語の真実を民に語れ。かれら両人が犠牲を捧げた時,1人は受け入れられたが,外は受け入れられなかった。言った。「わたしはきっと御前を殺してやる。」かれは(答えて)言った。「アッラーは,唯主を畏れる者だけ,受け入れられる。」
Russian Прочти им истинный рассказ о двух сыновьях Адама. Вот они оба принесли жертву, и она была принята от одного из них и была не принята от другого. Он сказал: «Я непременно убью тебя». Он ответил: «Воистину, Аллах принимает только от богобоязненных.
