Les Juifs et les Chrétiens ont dit: "Nous sommes les fils d'Allah et Ses préférés." Dis: "Pourquoi donc vous châtie-t-Il pour vos péchés?" En fait, vous êtes des êtres humains d'entre ceux qu'Il a créés. Il pardonne à qui Il veut et Il châtie qui Il veut. Et à Allah seul appartient la royauté des cieux et de la terre et de ce qui se trouve entre les deux. Et c'est vers Lui que sera la destination finale.

Os judeus e os cristãos dizem: Somos os filhos de Deus e os Seus prediletos. Dize-lhes: Por que, então, Ele vos castiga por vossos pecados? Qual! Sois tão-somente seres humanos como os outros! Ele perdoa a quem Lhe apraz e castiga quem quer. Só a Deus pertence o reino dos céus e da terra e tudo quanto há entre ambos, e para Ele será o retorno.

Und es sagten die Juden und die Christen: "Wir sind die Söhne Allahs und seine Lieblinge." Sprich: "Warum bestraft Er euch dann für eure Sünden? Nein, ihr seid Menschen von denen, die Er schuf." Er vergibt, wem Er will, und Er bestraft, wen Er will. Und Allahs ist das Königreich der Himmel und der Erde und dessen, was zwischen beiden ist, und zu Ihm ist die Heimkehr.
