Allah did aforetime take a covenant from the Children of Israel, and we appointed twelve captains among them. And Allah said: "I am with you: if ye (but) establish regular prayers, practise regular charity, believe in my apostles, honour and assist them, and loan to Allah a beautiful loan, verily I will wipe out from you your evils, and admit you to gardens with rivers flowing beneath; but if any of you, after this, resisteth faith, he hath truly wandered from the path or rectitude."

Allah has made the Children of Israel take a pledge. We appointed twelve chiefs from among them. Allah said, .I am surely with you. If you establish Salah, and pay Zakah, and believe in My Messengers, and hold them in reverence, and advance to Allah a goodly loan, I shall certainly write off your evil deeds, and I shall certainly admit you into Gardens beneath which rivers flow. If ye establish worship and pay the poor due, and believe in My messengers and support them, and lend unto Allah a kindly loan, surely I shall remit your sins, and surely I shall bring you into gardens underneath which rivers flow. Whoso among you disbelieveth after this will go astray from a plain road.

And Allah had already taken a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We delegated from among them twelve leaders. And Allah said, "I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah and believe in My messengers and support them and loan Allah a goodly loan, I will surely remove from you your misdeeds and admit you to gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly strayed from the soundness of the way."

Et Allah certes prit l'engagement des enfants d'Israël. Nous nommâmes douze chefs d'entre eux. Et Allah dit: "Je suis avec vous, pourvu que vous accomplissiez la Salat, acquittiez la Zakat, croyiez en Mes messagers, les aidiez et fassiez à Allah un bon prêt. Alors, certes, J'effacerai vos méfaits, et vous ferai entrer aux Jardins sous lesquels coulent les ruisseaux. Et quiconque parmi vous, après cela, mécroît, s'égare certes du droit chemin" !
Аллах взял завет с сынов Исраила (Израиля). Мы создали среди них двенадцать вождей. Аллах сказал: «Я – с вами. Если вы будете совершать намаз и выплачивать закят, уверуете в Моих посланников, поможете им и одолжите Аллаху прекрасный заем, то Я отпущу вам ваши прегрешения и введу вас в сады, в которых текут реки. А если кто-либо из вас после этого станет неверующим, то он сойдет с прямого пути».

Deus cumpriu uma antiga promessa feita aos israelitas, e designou-lhes doze chefes, dentre eles, dizendo: Estarei convosco se observardes a oração, pagardes o zakat, credes nos Meus mensageiros, socorrerde-los e emprestardes espontaneamente a Deus; absolverei as vossas faltas e vos introduzirei em jardins, abaixo dos quais correm os rios. Mas quem de vós pecar, depois disto, desviar-se-á da verdadeira senda.

Wahrlich, Allah hatte einen Bund mit den Kindern Israels geschlossen; und Wir erweckten aus ihnen zwölf Führer. Und Allah sprach: "Seht, Ich bin mit euch, wenn ihr das Gebet verrichtet und die Zakah entrichtet und an Meine Gesandten glaubt und sie unterstützt und Allah ein gutes Darlehen gebt, dann werde Ich eure Missetaten tilgen und euch in Gärten führen, in denen Bäche fließen. Wer von euch aber hierauf in den Unglauben zurückfällt, der ist vom rechten Weg abgeirrt.
