وَلَكُمْ فِي الْقِصَاصِ حَيَاةٌ يَاْ أُولِيْ الأَلْبَابِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ
Transliteration Walakum fee alqisasi hayatun ya olee alalbabi laAAallakum tattaqoona
Abdullah Yusuf Ali In the Law of Equality there is (saving of) Life to you, o ye men of understanding; that ye may restrain yourselves.
Mufti Taqi Usmani There is life for you in QiSaS, O people of wisdom, so that you may refrain (from killing).
Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall And there is life for you in retaliation, O men of understanding, that ye may ward off (evil).
Sahih International And there is for you in legal retribution [saving of] life, O you [people] of understanding, that you may become righteous.
French C'est dans le talion que vous aurez la préservation de la vie, ò vous doués d'intelligence, ainsi atteindrez-vous la piété.
Japanese この報復（の掟）には，あなたがたへの生命（の救助）がある。思慮ある者たちよ，恐らくあなたがたは主を畏れるであろう。
